A Blessing by John Smith Patriarch upon the Head of Isaac Young son, Abraham and Elizabeth Young born at Tunley Somersetshire England Jan. 17 1898. Brother Isaac in the of Jesus Christ I place my hands upon your head and confer upon you a Patriarchal blessing because you have left your native land for the Gospel sake your wife and your children and many friends to obey the commandments of the Lord which thing is pleasing unto the most high and you shall be blest according to the desire of your heart you shall meet your wife and Family in this valley and shall rejoice exceedingly in there company you shall have houses and lands Fathers and Mothers and Brothers and Sisters and friends of every kind with an never failing store of riches for your comfort and in the world to come the riches of eternal life. You are of the blood of Joseph that was sold into Egypt and an heir to the everlasting Priesthood which shall be conferred upon you and your posterity through all there generations giving you power to work all kinds of miracles together the remnants of Jacob and establish in a land of peace. You shall be a councilor in the House of ? have wisdom to conduct all things right your posterity shall ? spread forth upon the mountains like Jacob they shall be ? in the priesthood you shall live to see winding up scene of the persecution and inherit all the blessings and Glories of Zion ? your Fathers House Amen
